Biography
Originally from Port Charlotte, Florida, Andrew Sanchez studied biochemistry at The University of Florida, where he also received a Certificate in Arts in Medicine for integrating his background in instrumental acoustic guitar with his rising interest in patient care. He then spent 4 years studying medicine in New York at Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. As a resident at Yale New Haven Hospital, Andrew is a member of the Clinician-Educator Track. His current interests include learning and teaching diagnostic reasoning, hospital medicine, and rheumatologic diseases. Andrew has developed numerous open access frameworks for clinical diagnosis, which are all available through Twitter. He additionally assists the multi-platform group The Clinical Problem Solvers in their mission to democratize diagnostic reasoning education.
