Board and Council Bylaws
All committee Bylaws have moved to PolicyTech:
- Board of Permanent Officers BylawsThe Board of Permanent Officers is the governing board of the School, entrusted with matters of educational policy and governance and responsible for recommendations to the President and Provost for appointments at the associate professor, professor, clinical professor, and professor adjunct ranks.
- YSM Executive Group BylawsThe Executive Group meets weekly to foster conversations between Dean Brown and departments on a range of matters that affect YSM and its community. It is comprised of chairs, center directors, and deputy deans.
- Dean's Faculty Advisory Committee BylawsThe Faculty Advisory Council provides a forum for a diverse group of representatives to bring new ideas and concerns from a broad range of faculty to the Dean’s office
- Diversity Advisory Council BylawsAs part of our plans to enhance diversity and inclusion within each organizational unit and at every level at YSM, departments have a diversity vice chair or champion. They are instrumental in engaging their departmental colleagues to promote our efforts throughout the school.
- Yale Medicine Board BylawsThe Board is the governing body for the Yale Medicine (YM), the multi-specialty academic group practice of the full time clinical faculty of the Yale School of Medicine.
- Senior Appointment & Promotion Committee BylawsSenior Appointments & Promotions Committee reviews appointments and promotions to professor in all ladder tracks and to associate professor with tenure at the Yale School of Medicine.
- Tenure Appointments Committee of the Biological Sciences (TACBS) Committee BylawsTenure & Appointments Committee in the Biologic Sciences (TACBS) Committee reviews appointments and promotions to tenure for the basic science and bridge departments at the Yale School of Medicine.
- Term Appointment & Promotion Committee BylawsTerm Appointment & Promotions Committee reviews appointments and promotions to associate professor with term in all ladder tracks except the Academic Clinician Track at the Yale School of Medicine.
- MD Admissions Committee BylawsThe mission of the Admissions Committee is to admit a diverse class of outstanding students who show great promise for becoming creative leaders in medicine and science.
- MD Academic Progress Committee BylawsThe Progress Committee reviews the academic performance of students to determine suitability for continued advancement in the curriculum and for graduation.
- Education Policy and Curriculum Committee BylawsThe EPCC is responsible for the centralized oversight of the school’s educational policies and curriculum, and for ensuring that the educational program is integrated, coordinated, and designed to achieve the school’s overarching goals.
- MD-PhD Program Advisory CommitteeThe MD/PhD Program Advisory Committee evaluates program-specific data and outcomes and provides the Director of the MD/PhD Program with advice and recommendations for optimizing the training of physician-scientists.
