Vincent DeVita Jr., MD, Amy and Joseph Perella Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology) and professor of epidemiology (chronic diseases), has been named the Giants of Cancer Care® Michael J. Hennessy Visionary Award Winner for 2024. The organization's advisory board cited his lifelong achievements in cancer care, and the far-reaching effect those achievements have created.
Garakani and Buono Earn an AAPL Grant
Amir Garakani, MD (left), associate professor of psychiatry, and Frank Buono, PhD, associate research scientist in psychiatry, have been awarded a grant from the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL) Institute for Education and Research to evaluate the Miller Forensic Assessment of Symptoms Test (M-FAST) in psychiatric patients within the emergency department.
