Overview
E. Jennifer Edelman, MD, MHS, specializes in HIV and addiction medicine. She provides patient care for HIV/AIDS and its associated complications, such as HIV-associated myopathy, dementia, and neurocognitive disorder.
In addition to her clinical work in HIV care, Dr. Edelman’s research examines substance use disorder treatment in HIV clinics, emergency department-initiated buprenorphine programs, and alcohol reduction interventions for people with HIV.
A recipient of the New England Society of General Internal Medicine Award for Excellence in Clinical Investigation and the Society of General Internal Medicine Lawrence Linn Award, her research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the National Cancer Institute.
Dr. Edelman is a professor of medicine at Yale School of Medicine.
