Curriculum

The candidate will work clinical shifts in the emergency departments of Yale-New Haven Hospital. S/he will function as an independent clinician. Beginning in late July, the candidate will begin the rigorous MBA program. Over the next 21 months, the candidate will spend three full weeks on campus and alternating Friday/Saturday sessions on campus. S/he will also have the opportunity to participate in the international experience (a 12-day trip with 20-40 MBA students).

The fellow will NOT be scheduled for clinical work during the period leading up to, nor including, the residence/MBA class times. The fellowship will conclude at the end of 24 months, with the fellow receiving a certificate of completion of fellowship from the Yale Department of Emergency Medicine as well as the MBA degree from the Yale School of Management. The fellow will receive a salary comparable to that of our other fellows, with full tuition reimbursement for the MBA program. In addition, the fellow will receive additional compensation for any additional shifts s/he may work beyond the required shifts. A book and travel allowance, office space, computer, telephone, and administrative support will be provided as well.
