Venkatesh Lab

The Venkatesh Lab brings together a multi-disciplinary team of investigators, implementation experts, and trainees with a mission to improve the quality and value of emergency and acute care through rigorous research and training the next generation of healthcare leaders. Our work seeks to expand access, translate knowledge into effectiveness, improve the affordability and reduce disparities in acute and emergency care.

We have been funded by numerous federal, foundation and industry sources to develop novel collaborations that have generated numerous publications, national regulatory and statutory policies, and substantial media attention. Many trainees including students, residents, fellows and junior faculty have conducted successful research projects that launched careers as independent investigators, national award recipients, and health system leaders.

The Venkatesh Lab meets weekly to discuss current projects and new research ideas. Trainees with interest in health policy, health services research, or emergency care are invited to contact Dr. Venkatesh regarding opportunities to join.
