Mariam Ndao

I am a current senior making significant strides within my community through active involvement in numerous organizations. Drawing on the knowledge and insights gained from my internship, particularly in the areas of diversity and equity, I am committed to fostering positive change. While pursuing a Health Science AS and Natural Science AA, I am also deeply engaged in hospital volunteer work, expanding my healthcare passions. As the leader of a Diversify Our Narrative Chapter, I have successfully raised over 400 books for elementary schools, promoting awareness about the importance of diverse literature and perspectives, all passions built on during my time as a YCCI intern. My dedication to both healthcare and social equity is a testament to my commitment to creating a meaningful and lasting impact.
