Achievements

I volunteer in the kitchen of God's Love We Deliver, a nonprofit organization that cooks and delivers healthy meals to people living with chronic medical conditions such as cancer, heart failure, and AIDS.

I serve as a member on the AGA quality committee. We work to develop and test evidence-based quality measures and seek to increase awareness of the importance of quality in gastroenterology and hepatology. I am currently co-lead of the general gastroenterology/colorectal cancer workgroup.

I served on the committee that reviewed abstracts for the fellow-led quality improvement project session submitted to the annual national meeting of the American Gastroenterological Association (Digestive Disease Week).

I serve on the continuing medical education (CME) subcommittee of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), which entails reviewing educational programs for content validity, educational format, and bias.

Moderated a session on measuring and communicating improvements in quality and safety in gastroenterology practice at the annual Digestive Diseases Week conference.
