Biography
Michael Schaffer is vice president of Ambulatory Care, Yale New Haven Hospital. Before YNHH, he was senior vice president of Ambulatory Care, Mt. Sinai Health System, New York, and senior associate dean for Clinical Affairs for the Icahn School of Medicine. He was also chief operating officer of the Mt. Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice. In his new role, Schaffer will oversee YNHH’s Ambulatory Care strategy and operations, including offsite centers. He earned his BA in English and economics from State University of New York at Binghamton and his MPA in health policy and management from New York University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
