The Yale School of Medicine Department of Surgery is pleased to announce the following faculty promotions, as approved by the Board of Permanent Officers at its April 20, 2022 meeting:
- Michael Alperovich, MD, MSc, FACS promotion to Associate Professor of Surgery (Plastics Division), in the Clinician-Educator Track, July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2027.
- Matthew Williams, MD, appointment as Associate Professor of Surgery (Cardiac Division), in the Clinician-Educator Track, July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2026.

Dr. Alperovich is a native of Connecticut, Board Certified plastic surgeon, full-time faculty member, and Co-Director of Craniofacial Surgery at Yale University.
Dr. Williams serves as the surgical director of the Yale Medicine Structural Heart Disease Program, which cares for patients with valvular heart disease.
A formal reception honoring the promoted faculty, and the support of our Faculty Affairs Office, will take place in early fall.
