The Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine (YJBM) is pleased to announce the launch of its quarterly colloquium series on Thursday, April 4 at 4 p.m. in Fitkin Amphitheater, LMP 1094, 330 Cedar Street.
The inaugural lecture will be given by Dr. Tamas L. Horvath, Professor and Chair of the Section of Comparative Medicine, the Jean and David W. Wallace Professor of Biomedical Science, Professor of Neurobiology, and Ob/Gyn, as well as the Director of the Yale Program in Integrative Cell Signaling and Neurobiology of Metabolism. His talk will be on “Hypothalamic Hunger-Promoting Neurons Regulate Higher Brain Functions and Longevity.”
YJBM is a PubMed-indexed, open access journal whose mission is to provide both graduate students and medical students with experience in scientific publishing, writing, reviewing and publishing articles. The Editorial Board is made up of both students and faculty members, and the journal has been in publication since 1928.
YJBM is published quarterly, and each issue focuses on a specific topic. The colloquium series will run in parallel with each issue.
