Inaugural Healthcare Continuing Education Professionals Day

December 07, 2024

On Friday, January 24, 2025, Yale will join a new nationwide initiative to mark Healthcare Continuing Education Professionals Day. Seven continuing education organizations are collaborating on the launch of this day to recognize and show appreciation for exceptional continuing education (CE) professionals.

As President and CEO of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education Graham McMahon, MD, MMSC, explains: “It’s the educators within our community that do the work to support health care professionals to practice at their best. CE professionals are outstanding agents of change who engage and inspire learners to innovate and improve our healthcare system; they deserve to be celebrated and appreciated for their critical role.”

At Yale, this day provides an opportunity to recognize the hard work, expertise, and commitment of our CE planners, speakers, reviewers, faculty, facilitators, regularly scheduled series (RSS) coordinators, and everyone involved in the continuing education process. Their efforts play a pivotal role in ensuring that health care professionals remain at the forefront of their practice, continually enhancing the quality of care provided to patients.

Going forward, Healthcare Continuing Education Professionals Day will be celebrated on the Friday of the third full week of January.
