The Yale Network for Global Non-Communicable Diseases (NGN) cordially invites you to its inaugural interdisciplinary symposium on Oct. 27:
Fostering Cross-Campus Collaboration at Yale on the Global Non-Communicable Disease Crisis
The morning session will consist of a welcome and introduction to the organization, followed by talks from guest speaker Dr. Ann Kurth, Ph.D., R.N., M.P.H., F.A.A.N. (Yale School of Nursing), and keynote speaker, Dr. Venkat Narayan, MD, MSc, MBA, FRCP (Emory University).
The afternoon session will consist of invite-only workgroups on key global NCD topics. This will be followed by a closing session co-led with the Global Health Leadership Institute (GHLI).

Led by NGN members, the primary objective of the round table workshops will be to identify and build collaborative research networks to advance education,research, and advocacy on NCDs at Yale. The five workshop themes will be:
- Ethical Standards for Academic Global Health Efforts
- Mental Health in the 21st Century
- Maternal Child Health & NCDs
- Integrated Health Services Delivery
- Access to Essential Medicines
