Clinic named in honor of John J. Kelly Jr., M.D. ’69

John J. Kelly Jr., M.D. ’69, was honored on January 29, 2016, when the ALS clinic at George Washington University was renamed The John J. Kelly ALS Clinic during a special dedication event and reception. Kelly established the clinic in 1995. The event, which was attended by Kelly’s family, former colleagues, current staff, and the ambassador to the United States from the Republic of Slovenia. As one of the world’s premier experts in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex nerve and muscle disorders, Kelly has trained residents, fellows, and students who now practice in leading neurology departments across the country and throughout the world. Under his leadership, the ALS Clinic became the first one in the region to be certified by the national office of the ALS Association.
