Bruce McGibbon, MD, has been appointed the Medical Director of Radiation Oncology for the Smilow Cancer Care Center in Greenwich, effective July 1. Dr. McGibbon is an Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale School of Medicine. He has also served as Medical Director for Radiation Oncology at the Smilow Cancer Care Center in Trumbull, CT.
Dr. McGibbon completed his medical degree and residency in radiation oncology at UCLA and has been on the faculty of the Yale School of Medicine since 2009. He provides care to patients with breast, prostate, lung, rectal, head and neck, and primary/metastatic cancers of the brain. His research interests include a focus on quality of life improvements and short course radiation therapy using stereotactic techniques.
Daniela Addeo, MD, will continue her clinical practice in radiation oncology at Greenwich, partnering with Dr. McGibbon, and joining the Yale School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Radiology on July 1. Dr. Addeo, a board-certified radiation oncologist and a diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and National Association for Healthcare Quality, received her medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and completed her residency at New York Methodist Hospital and fellowship at Brooklyn Hospital. Her clinical focus includes stereotactic radiosurgery, brachytherapy, and treatment of gynecological, breast, gastrointestinal, and skin malignancies.
