Biography

Jordan Sisson is the Communications and Faculty Affairs Officer for the Department of Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine. She manages voluntary and community faculty appointments in the Department of Psychiatry and the Child Study Center, as well as masters'-level clinicians in the Child Study Center and adjunct appointments for both departments as part of the Integrated Business Office. She previously assisted with communications-related responsibilities, including crafting press releases, creating the monthly Psychiatry@Yale newsletter, and managing the department's social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter).

Prior to arriving at Yale in January 2020, Jordan worked at the Hartford Courant, most recently as a content editor on the community and breaking news team, co-leading coverage of several high-profile stories. Before being promoted to editor, Jordan provided award-winning coverage as a reporter covering town news and religion for the paper. She also previously worked as a town news reporter at the Republican-American in Waterbury, Conn.

She is a Connecticut native and lives in her hometown of Southington with her husband, two daughters, and two cats. In her free time, Jordan enjoys reading, baking, and discovering new local coffee shops, and feeds her wanderlust by moonlighting as a travel agent specializing in travel to Disney Destinations, Universal, all-inclusive resorts, and major cruise lines.
