Overview

Jeremy Nadelmann, MD, is a noninvasive cardiologist who diagnoses heart conditions and treats them medically. He is board-certified in echocardiography, and specializes in coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, hyperlipidemia, and valvular heart disease.

“I provide care and guidance to my patients so they can live a long and healthy life,” he says.

Dr. Nadelmann was a biomedical engineer before he decided to study cardiology. “That gives me a different perspective,” he says. “I approach treating people with heart disease as a problem that can be fixed.” He has been practicing since 1991 in the greater New Haven area, where he left his practice in 2017 to join the Heart and Vascular Center of Yale New Haven Health.

Cardiology is rewarding because it’s a field that allows doctors to establish long-term relationships with patients and grow old with them, Dr. Nadelmann says. “Over the years I’ve been able to take care of grandparents, parents, and now their children. So, I’ve made many meaningful connections with patients and their family members.”

He has a special interest in the effects of aging on the cardiovascular system and was a co-investigator of the Bronx Longitudinal Aging Study, a community-based study designed to assess risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular morbidity and mortality, and dementia.
