Postdoctoral Fellow in Biomedical Informatics and Data Science

Biography

Jeff is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science supported by a NLM T15 training grant. He currently works in Dr. Hua Xu's lab, where his current research focuses on the use of large language models for biomedical applications. His other interests include mental health, data science, algorithms, and optimization. Previously, he received his PhD in Operations Research and Financial Engineering from Princeton University and was a Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematical Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. His previous work focused on studying higher order Newton methods and theoretical aspects of solutions to optimization problems.
