AI prompting refers to the process of interacting with an artificial intelligence (AI) system by providing specific instructions or queries to achieve a desired outcome. First developed by NYU Langone Health's MCIT Department of Health Informatics, Institute for Innovations in Medical Education, and Institute for Excellence in Health Equity, a prompt-a-thon is a collaborative session where participants will explore generative AI, learn how to interact with generative AI through prompt engineering, and discover how generative AI could play a part in their personal or professional lives.

The session offers hands-on experience with generative AI, allowing participants to apply learned prompting techniques in real time and share the results of their interactions with generative AI within groups. Please bring your own laptop (or iPad) and charger to the workshop.
