Biography
Spencer Tan is an aspiring cancer & genomics researcher. He is entering his junior year at South Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA as an AP Capstone student. While working at Georgia Aquarium for the past year, he has sought to gain knowledge in the laboratory research & conservation fields even before graduating high school. Additionally, Spencer taps into his interest in advocacy and public policy by serving as a director at Asian Youth Act and by taking on the responsibility of Vice President of his school’s Model UN delegation. Besides these passions, he also enjoys singing in a cappella groups, all-state honor choirs, and his school's advanced chamber chorus. In the near future, Spencer plans to pursue a degree in molecular biology, concentrating on the applications of genomic technologies on new and innovative treatments for cancer.
