Biography

Raissa Franca is a senior at Horizon High School in Winter Garden, Florida. She has a strong interest in the medical field, along with a passion for research. At school, Raissa is the president of the Pre-Med and French club. Additionally, she is also the founder of a nonprofit organization called Neurohope, which aims to help kids with developmental and behavioral disabilities experience a better childhood. Being an active member in Mu Alpha Theta, Raissa also tutors math students, helping them achieve their dream scores. As the captain of her cross-country team her freshman and sophomore year of high school, Raissa also held the school record for the 5k. Along with being a part of numerous honor societies, she also received her BACE (Biotechnician Assistant Credentialing Exam) certification which allows her to pursue higher level positions and diverse avenues in the biotechnology field.
