Biography

Jessica is a rising sophomore at the Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Jessica hopes to obtain an M.D./Ph.D. dual degree and contribute solutions to complex global healthcare challenges. Jessica aspires to apply advanced technologies to reduce medical challenges in her future professional career. Although Jessica is in the early stages of her research career, these aspirations have already resulted in novel findings involving the identification of an algorithm that has a 96% accuracy rate for predicting Alzheimer’s disease. Jessica joined the YSERE program to further strengthen her research skills and knowledge pertaining to experimental design, data analysis, ethical considerations, and scientific communication.
