Biography

Faranak Ebrahimian Sadabad, MD, is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale NeuroPET Imaging program. Her work bridges clinical insight and cutting-edge PET imaging techniques to better understand and diagnose a range of neurological disorders.

Her research is dedicated to the application of molecular imaging biomarkers, particularly synaptic density imaging using SV2A PET tracers and dopamine transporter (DAT) imaging, to improve the characterization and differentiation of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is actively involved in studies addressing Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, frontotemporal dementia, and autism spectrum disorder.

Aiming to translate advanced neuroimaging tools into clinically actionable insights, Faranak is particularly passionate about movement disorders and aspires to pursue a career as a movement disorder neurologist, combining patient care with research innovation.
