Crystal Ruiz

Hello, I am a recent high school graduate from Salinas, California, and am taking a gap year to gain job and research experience, while also involving myself in internships. I am extremely passionate about cognitive science and neuroscience, with a focus in mycology and linguistics. I have done research in neuroscience and the use of psilocybin-related therapies. To stay busy, I am in the process of getting a Certificate in Linguistics at my local community college and am part of a Teaching Fellowship at my city's youth music program where I get to teach orchestral percussion.
