The Kavli Institute for Neuroscience is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2023 Kavli Innovative Research Award.
The Kavli Innovative Research Awards are seed grants to Yale investigators to support early-stage, innovative neuroscience research projects aiming at testing bold, new ideas. Neuroscience innovation is sought in several forms: 1) to bring together scientists from different disciplines to tackle a problem in a novel way (“Interdisciplinary projects”); and/or 2) to create innovative teams that tackle established questions with the goal of seeding future program grant applications (“Innovative teams”).
This year’s recipients are:
- Dongju Seo & Renata Belfort De Aguiar “Investigating Neurobiological Mechanisms of Disrupted Stress and Metabolic Responses in Alcohol Use Disorder”
- Shaul Yogev & Susumu Tomita “Develop Tools to Evaluate Contribution of Local Translation to Synaptic Plasticity”
