Biography

Dr. Mauro Giuffrè is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale School of Medicine's Division of Internal Medicine. After earning his medical degree cum laude from the University of Trieste in Italy, he obtained a Master's in Biostatistics for Clinical Research from the University of Padova in 2019. That same year, he began his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Trieste.

Dr. Giuffrè's primary focus in the past years has been related to the use of machine learning techniques to predict complications in advanced chronic liver disease through non-invasive techniques. His research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences, including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL), Italian Association for the Study of the Liver (AISF), and the Italian Federation for Gastrointestinal Disease Societies (FISMAD).

Dr. Giuffrè is currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Human+Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (HAIM) Laboratory, focusing on the safe and accurate implementation of Large Language Models in clinical practice.
