Stanford researchers find increasing healthcare access protects forests
November 17, 2020Tropical forests protect much of the world's biodiversity and help mitigate climate change. A team of Stanford researchers found that when communities living in these tropical forests have adequate access to healthcare, they are less likely to engage in unsustainable logging practices.
