• 00:00So most of the patients
• 00:01we see are patients who
• 00:02are diagnosed with breast cancer,
• 00:04who need some sort of
• 00:05a surgery for treatment, but
• 00:07we also do full scope
• 00:08of benign care. That means
• 00:10if you have a benign
• 00:11mass that's growing or uncomfortable,
• 00:13or need it removed for
• 00:15additional information,
• 00:16I am one of the
• 00:17kinds of surgeons that would
• 00:18help take care of you.
• 00:19Beyond that, we work with
• 00:20our partners,
• 00:21across the network to take
• 00:23care of people who are
• 00:23at high risk for developing
• 00:25breast cancer and help take
• 00:26care of them and get
• 00:27them set up with the
• 00:28kind of screening they need.
• 00:30I hope that patients can
• 00:32see the passion that I
• 00:33have for this job. I
• 00:34hope that the patients that
• 00:36come to see me know
• 00:37I'm here to listen to
• 00:39them and provide the kind
• 00:40of care that is best
• 00:42for them in their individualized
• 00:43situation. Situation. But it's also
• 00:45such a sacred and intimate
• 00:47thing to allow someone
• 00:49to care for you when
• 00:51you can't participate in the
• 00:52decision making. And so every
• 00:54time we go into the
• 00:55operating room, you know, I
• 00:57love holding my patient's hand
• 00:58as they go off to
• 00:59sleep, reminding them we're gonna
• 01:00take the best care of
• 01:01them possible,
• 01:02and then reminding everyone in
• 01:03the room what are, like,
• 01:05respectful and honorable thing we
• 01:07get to do by caring
• 01:08for them while they're asleep
• 01:09under anesthesia. It's really a
• 01:10privilege to do the job
• 01:12that we do, and my
• 01:13patients are what make the
• 01:14hard work worthwhile.
