Child Study Center Grand Rounds: Prenatal maternal depression and antidepressant exposure –Neurodevelopmental trajectories
Depression is common during pregnancy and deciding upon the best treatment is complicated by the potential implications this decision has upon the newborn. We will discuss this issue focusing on preclinical, clinical and epidemiological studies examining the potential effects of prenatal antidepressant exposure on early brain development.
