SHI Design Challenge |
In this Design Challenge for Global Health, five finalists presented solutions to address complex health challenges such as elder care and isolation, sustainable agriculture, tuberculosis care and treatment, and non-communicable diseases in among urban vulnerable populations. Three awards were given out based on the innovation, health impact, and business viability of their venture:

CBIT Hackathon | SHI sponsored a prize at the 7th Annual Center for Biomedical Innovation and Technology Health Care Hackathon. The $1000 prize was awarded to Cisterna, an idea developed by a team from Brazil to address the health impact of untreated waste. |
