About
Biography
Dr. Marc Nespoli currently serves as the Medical Director for the Mental Health Clinic of VA Connecticut, Newington campus. In this position, Dr. Nespoli is the leader for a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and administrative support staff. Dr. Nespoli also maintains a geriatric psychiatry outpatient clinic as part of this, offering medical students, residents, and fellows the privilege to care for our older age veterans. As an Assistant Clinical Professor for Yale University, Dr. Nespoli has led courses in capacity evaluations, cognitive assessments, and home based psychiatry.
Dr. Nespoli completed his fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Yale University, and his residency at Boston University. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Vermont, where he earned the Sweetser Award for Excellence in Psychiatry. Dr. Nespoli has authored a book chapter on the Psychiatric Guide to Home Based Primary Care, co-authored a book chapter on the Geriatric Assessment, and has served as an invited speaker for the Alzheimer's Association of Connecticut.
