Living in New Haven
One of the best kept secrets of our residents' experience at Yale is life in New Haven, a major cultural, scientific and academic hub located between Boston and New York. Follow some of these links to learn more about the New Haven community.
Yale Resident and Fellow Senate
Our neurology residents are part of a greater community of approximately 1,000 house staff within the Yale-New Haven System. Residents have the opportunity to take leadership and advocacy roles within the Resident and Fellow Senate.
Events include:
- First Fridays: Informal gatherings on the first Friday of each month, with free food and other treats.
- Solidarity Night: Larger, more elaborate events in the Spring and Fall to support resident and fellow solidarity and wellness.
- Resident and Fellow Appreciation week: Every year during the month of February, the YRFS collaborated with the GME office for Resident and Fellow Appreciation Week. This is a week filled with daily events and free giveaways meant to show appreciation for the hospital’s house staff.
