    Yale Global Health Insights
provides a platform to dive into the narratives behind global health. In its initial two episodes, the podcast explores emergency care in Armenia and the intersection of war crime investigation and humanitarian research. In these episodes, inaugural guests Dr. Svetlana Harutyunyan and Nathaniel Raymond recount their firsthand perspectives in armed conflict and displacement and share how these experiences drive them to continue the work they do.

Dr. Chekijian’s understanding of global health, academic medicine, and her genuine interest in the world beyond medicine, positions her to ask well-informed and thought-provoking questions. Utilizing her own experiences and her understanding of global health she showcases conversations that bring together active listening with a sense of empathy.

“The personal stories behind this talented group of researchers and faculty at YIGH are stunning. I’m grateful for the opportunity to get to know some of my personal healthcare heroes and to share their narratives with the world” says Dr. Chekijian.
