The 2011 Match

Yale Medicine Magazine, 2011 - Spring

Contents

This year saw a smaller Match at Yale, as only 77 students entered. Most of the Class of 2011—76 out of 100 students—chose to spend a fifth year at the School of Medicine. The 24 students in the class who participated in the Match were joined by students from the previous year who had taken a fifth year and three students in the M.D./Ph.D. program. Two students who graduated this year chose alternative careers, one in management consulting, and the other in health care research.
