Research & Publications
Stephanie Neary joined the Yale School of Medicine PA Online Program as an Instructor in 2017. She is the course director for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine I, II, and III while also serving as the Didactic Coordinator. Stephanie is a member of the admissions committee, is the faculty advisor for the student society and an academic advisor for incoming and current students.
Stephanie is a physician assistant who graduated with an MMS from Midwestern University-Glendale. She began practicing clinically in a refugee and urban underserved family medicine clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, and now works in inpatient Endocrinology on the Diabetes Management Service at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research interests are in student wellbeing and burnout.
In 2012, she became adjunct faculty at Grand Canyon University in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology and the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions, teaching both online and on campus formats where she served as a subject matter expert in online education and as a member of the Faculty Advisory Board. She served as a member of the Physician Assistant Education Association’s (PAEA) Future Educator Development Steering Committee since 2014, where she helped create and facilitate the annual Future Educator Fellowship and has presented multiple times at the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) national conferences and the PAEA Forums. She previously has worked as adjunct faculty for PA programs at both Northern Arizona University and AT Still University.
In addition to her PA work, Stephanie earned a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Management from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the George Washington University. She is licensed by the NCCPA.
