Sophia Selino

Biography

Sophia Selino is a Research Assistant at The Consultation Center at Yale where she provides support to externally-funded research, evaluation and consultation projects involving youth, families, communities, public school systems, and prevention education. Her role as a core staff member in the School Mental Health Implementation Consultation and Research program involves survey development, quantitative and qualitative data management and analysis, data visualization and reporting, and providing consultation and technical support to school-based mental health professionals.

Sophia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in clinical-counseling from The College of Saint Rose. Prior to her work at Yale, Sophia spent time working as a counselor at a residential crisis intervention facility for youth ages 5-12. During her time there, Sophia engaged with youth in a trauma-informed setting, oversaw their safety and wellbeing, and collaborated with mental health teams on safety plans.
