Natalija Odanovic, MD

Clinical Fellow


Dr. Odanovic earned her medical degree from the University of Belgrade in Serbia and graduated at the top of her class. She enrolled in a PhD program at the University of Belgrade School of Medicine in the Department of Biochemistry. As a research trainee with Dr. Tatjana Simic, she studied the genetic epidemiology of heart failure. Dr. Odanovic completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Rutgers University in New Jersey. During her residency she researched the effects of lipids and ketosis in the development and evolution of heart failure in mouse transverse aortic constriction (TAC) model in Dr. Junichi Sadoshima's lab.

Dr. Odanovic is the recipient of the Republic of Serbia’s Young Talents Fund Academic Scholarship, the AMGEN Foundation Research Scholarship, and the Crown of Success award from Petrovic family. She joined the Yale Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship program in 2018 and currently serves as a third-year fellow.
