Biography
Meredith Atanasio is a developmental scientist with a Ph.D. in Child and Adolescent Development and a research focus on emotion regulation in childhood in the context of ADHD symptomatology—particularly the role of parent characteristics and behaviors, parent-child interaction, intergenerational processes of emotion regulation, and the heritability of ADHD symptomatology.
Meredith is passionate about multi-method approaches to studying emotion regulation - including behavioral, self-report, and physiological methods. Her work employs developmental theory, behavioral science, and quantitative methods to explore how regulatory skills emerge, evolve, and can be supported—especially in children and parents with attention-related challenges. Holding a master's in Data Analysis and Applied Statistics, Meredith is invested in conducting high-quality, ethical quantitative research that aligns with current statistical standards ,with the ultimate goal of informing evidence-based practices and interventions that promote emotional well-being in children and families.
