Biography
Dr. Hernandez began his career working at New York University as a research assistant collecting field data at multiple nuclear power plants for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Environmental Protection Agency. Upon completing internships at the Soviet Mission and United Nations he became a Federal Counterintelligence Special Agent and Military Aviator living and working in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South Pacific.
After sustaining a career ending lung injury in Iraq he enrolled in the Vocational Rehabilitation Program through the Veterans Administration Office. Selecting medicine as a second career he attended Anesthesia residency at Yale and remained upon graduation to become the Medical Director at Shoreline Surgery Center in Guilford, Connecticut.
