Manager of Faculty Affairs

Biography

Jordan Sisson is an Associate Director of Faculty Affairs in the Integrated Business Office (IBO) of the Departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and the Child Study Center. Jordan joined Yale in January 2020 as a communications & faculty affairs officer, splitting her time between managing voluntary faculty appointments and serving as a communications officer for the Department of Psychiatry. In October 2023, she transitioned to a full-time focus on faculty affairs and has since coordinated the appointments and promotions processes for more than 700 non-ladder voluntary, adjunct, and master’s-level clinician faculty appointments across all three departments of the IBO.

Prior to arriving at Yale, Jordan worked at the Hartford Courant, most recently as a content editor on the community and breaking news team, co-leading coverage of several high-profile stories. Before being promoted to editor, Jordan provided award-winning coverage as a reporter covering town news and religion for the paper. She also previously worked as a town news reporter at the Republican-American in Waterbury, Conn.

She is a Connecticut native and lives in her hometown of Southington with her husband, two daughters, and two cats. In her free time, Jordan enjoys reading, baking, and discovering new local coffee shops, and feeds her wanderlust by moonlighting as a travel agent specializing in travel to Disney Destinations, Universal, all-inclusive resorts, and major cruise lines.
