Biography
Chandler Brown is a postgraduate associate at the ACCESS Lab at the Yale Child Study Center. Her research centers on public health disparities, with a particular focus on how structural inequities, policy implications, and socioeconomic factors shape mental health and substance use outcomes in marginalized communities. She is especially interested in examining how systemic factors such as targeted retail density, colorism, and social disadvantage influence health behaviors and long-term wellbeing among Black and Afro-diasporic populations. Chandler is a graduate of Alabama State University and plans to pursue advanced training in public health and medicine to continue addressing health inequities through research, policy, and clinical practice.
