Overview
Allison Campbell, MD, PhD, is a radiation oncologist who works with patients facing all stages of cancer. She provides radiation therapy and collaborates with other specialists to offer patients comprehensive care.
Dr. Campbell has a particular interest in treating breast cancer and in using radiosurgical approaches that involve careful coordination with neurosurgical teams. By working closely with colleagues, she focuses on delivering precise therapies designed to minimize side effects while addressing tumors effectively.
As an assistant professor of therapeutic radiology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Campbell’s research centers on how radiation therapy interacts with the immune system in advanced cancers. She aims to translate laboratory findings into clinical strategies that improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Campbell earned her medical degree at Yale School of Medicine and completed her residency in therapeutic radiology there, serving as chief resident. She also completed a specialized fellowship in radiosurgery at Yale School of Medicine. She also holds a doctoral degree in immunobiology.
