Department of Therapeutic Radiology
Welcome to the Department of Therapeutic Radiology/Radiation Oncology located within Smilow Cancer Hospital. We are an integral part of the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center, and provide radiation therapy treatment to patients referred to the Yale-New Haven Medical Center. All forms of external beam and intracavitary or interstitial therapy are available and are provided by an experienced staff of highly skilled professionals.
The department mission also includes teaching and research in clinical and translational radiation oncology, radiobiology and radiological physics. The department operates the state's only residency training programs in Radiation Oncology Residency Program and Physics Residency Program.
