Figure 12. We examined which components of the simple model of spike generation are responsible for different components of the somatic action potential. First, we present here the results from the full model that includes one dendrite, some, and axon.
Above are shown phase plots of the intact model in the soma and axon with a noisy conductance injected into the soma. Note the increased variance in spike threshold in the soma in comparison to the axon.
