Photograph of Cortical Slices in the Interface Slice Chamber

Multiple slices are placed in the chamber. The healthiest slices are judged by the quality of discharge evoked by lowering an extracellular multiple unit electrode through the tissue. These are chosen for performance of the intracellular recording studies.
