Mock Study Section

The Office of Physician-Scientist and Scientist Development runs a mock study section for junior faculty who have not been awarded an R01 yet as well as for trainees who are applying for an individual K award. Applications submitted to the mock study section will have their grant application reviewed by Yale faculty, applicants receive written feedback from the grant reviewers as well as a recording of the discussion of the application by the review committee. Participants are required to sign up prior to submitting their grant application to the review committee 2 months before the deadline and participants will receive their reviews 1 month prior to the deadline, this feedback will allow them to improve their application prior to submitting it to the NIH.
