The Office of Health Equity Research is the organizing center of health equity research at Yale School of Medicine. Our goal is to support current and expanding health equity research at Yale by providing shared resources and infrastructure. We:
- Convene and catalyze team science focused on health equity research, building on existing team science expertise at Yale.
- Provide methodological consultations and expertise as a shared resource, including community and stakeholder engagement approaches and implementation science.

The foundation for community-engaged research has been in place at Yale for almost 40 years via the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program, now National Clinician Scholars Program, which became a bedrock for the education of the next generation of investigators to conduct high-impact community-engaged research.Read More
OHER Office Hours
The purpose of OHER Office Hours is to respond to requests from Yale and community investigators for input on methodology, implementation, and evaluation of health equity and community-engaged research projects. This is intended to encourage and enhance the conduct of health equity research across the Yale School of Medicine.
The OHER team will review your submission and may request additional information prior to scheduling a 30 min virtual consultation. We will respond to your inquiry within 5-7 business days. If you have questions, please email oher@yale.edu.
