Biography

Dr. Srinath Kadimi graduated from Guntur Medical College, Guntur, India affiliated with Nagarjuna University, India. He then received training in Neurosciences in The Republic of Ireland and obtained a diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCS) in 1993. In 1998, he completed his neurology residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL (UAB). Dr. Kadimi did an additional 2 years of fellowship training in Vascular and Critical Care Neurology at UAB, which included training in interventional neurology. He is also certified in Neurosonology from the American Society of Neuroimaging.

Dr. Kadimi is committed to patient care and community education. He practiced neurology at Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut, Fairfield, CT since 2000 before joining as a faculty member at Yale in 2019. While in private practice, he served as the director of the Stroke Program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT for several years and successfully led the Primary Stroke Center to the recognition of US World & News with early adoption of Get With The Guidelines. He served as president for the local chapter of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and participated in several community and staff education programs. He is actively involved in clinical trials through his office practice.

Dr. Kadimi was recognized for his service by Argus Society at UAB while in training. He received the St. Vincent DePaul Physician of the Year award while at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. In recognition of his compassionate care, Dr. Kadimi was recognized by the Rotary Club as a Paul Harris Fellow.

Overview

Srinath Kadimi, MD, is a neurologist who specializes in spinal disorders and manages other neurological problems related to the spinal cord, as well as dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

Before becoming a Yale faculty member, Dr. Kadimi served as the stroke program director at St. Vincent’s Medical Center for several years and successfully led the primary stroke center to receive recognition from U.S. News & World Report.

Dr. Kadimi received his medical degree from Guntur Medical College in India and has been practicing for more than 20 years. He is an associate professor of neurology at Yale School of Medicine.
