About
Research
Overview
Dr. Sherry Mansour uses translational and epidemiological research methods to characterize the role of repair and vascular biomarkers in the development of long-term kidney and cardiovascular outcomes, with a particular focus on patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) and kidney transplant recipients (KTRs).
Research Focus
Dr. Mansour's program integrates vascular biology, spatial transcriptomics, and clinical epidemiology to better understand and predict graft failure and cardiovascular disease. Her work spans the mechanisms of vascular repair after kidney injury, the biology underlying cardiovascular disease development in transplant recipients, and the real-world application of cardiovascular disease prevention strategies in this high-risk population.
