activity One-Child Policy
ResearchDetails01/01/2007 - PresentChinaAbstract/SynopsisAlthough it is perhaps the world's most massive case of social engineering and perhaps the largest demographic event since the global black death, there are few first person reports of Chinese attitudes toward the One-Child Policy. Through a survey and individual family interviews, Professor Wyman's team tries to present examples of the Chinese experience of the policy. In addition, working with collaborator Prof. Guigui Yao of Jianghan University, Wuhan, Professor Wyman's team studies the centrality of the One-Child Policy to efforts of the US Christian Right to influence US foreign policy towards China.
